Restaurants and bars are the heart & soul of New York City. These same restaurants & bars shutdown to mitigate the spread of deadly COVID-19 virus. SAVE RESTAURANTS
SAVE LOCAL RESTAURANTS AFFECTED BY COVID-19
The Independent Restaurant Coalition (IRC) was formed to save the local restaurants affected by COVID-19. IRC is founded on the simple belief that there is power to affect legislative change if we unite our voice.
This national movement is quickly growing and EVERYONE is welcome to join. Together, as small businesses across this country, we represent up to 4% of the nation’s GDP. For the 11 million people across the country employed by restaurants — and the hundreds of millions of workers up and down the food supply and delivery chain who depend on restaurants — these small businesses cannot fail.
#RWCFRELIEF
Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation
In times of crisis New Yorkers turn to Robin Hood. We don’t yet know the full ramifications of this global pandemic, but we do know this: under-resourced and vulnerable communities are being hit the hardest. That is why for the third time in our history, we have re-activated a special Relief Fund to address the Coronavirus and related effects. Please help us support the work of New York’s top social service organizations who are on the frontlines of this crisis.
ROAR
RELIEF OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL RESTAURANTS (ROAR)
The Fund grants are intended to be awarded on a first-come-first served basis (expressly subject to the availability of donations received by the Fund) to those individuals facing unprecedented economic hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic that meet the prescribed eligibility criteria detailed below, as reviewed and verified by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF).

WORLD CENTRAL KITCHEN
BY JOSE ANDRES #ChefsForAmerica
We are facing an unprecedented emergency, unlike anything this country has experienced. Beyond the health impacts of the COVID-19 coronavirus, our economy has ground to a halt — schools and businesses are closed, travel is restricted, and restaurants face an uncertain future.
But this moment is not without hope. We will get through this, and World Central Kitchen has seen what’s possible as we’ve fought on the front lines in Japan and California deploying systems to deliver meals to quarantined cruise ship passengers. Our Relief Team is now serving nearly 100,000 meals every day across the country, and we need you. Together, #ChefsForAmerica can make sure nobody is left behind.

GOFUNDME: HELP FEED OUR HOSPITALS AND KIDS
We want to do our part to ensure that our local communities continue to have access to great meals and healthy food. We have partnered with the LIC Relief COVID-19 Response Group to provide pre-packed, grab-and-go meals for children in Long Island City and surrounding neighborhoods. We’ve extended our helping hands towards the medical professionals on the front lines as well. In the last few weeks, we have helped feed the teams at the following hospitals in NYC: Memorial Sloan Kettering, Elmhurst Hospital, Mt. Sinai Queens, NYU Langone Health, Plainview Hospital, Brooklyn Hospital Center, Flushing Hospital…

RESTAURANT EMPLOYEE RELIEF FUND
CHOOSE RESTAURANTS
TAO Cares Relief Fund, a charitable organization newly formed by Tao Group Hospitality, has established the TAO Cares COVID-19 Employee Relief Fund to help ease the financial burden Tao Group Hospitality current and former employees may face as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID-19 Employee Relief Fund provides tax-free funds for any number of hardships; including unanticipated healthcare costs, rent or mortgage payments, utility expenses, food, medicine, and other necessities. We look forward to reopening our doors to deliver unforgettable experiences side by side with our teams when it is safe to do so. Until then, donations to the Fund will go towards supporting our extended work family – and their families – through this difficult time.
